The Hellenic Association of Independent Nephrologists is the Professional Body of Nephrologists throughout the country who practice a private profession. The establishment of the Association (No. Order 103/4-3-2022 of the Athens Court of Justice) came to fill, on the one hand, the need to highlight the scientific potential and defend the professional rights of private Nephrologists, and on the other hand, the gap in their professional representation and coordinated action. Since 6-10-2023, it has been registered in the General Register of Trade Unions of Employees (GE.MIS.S.O.E.) as the official professional & trade union body of private Nephrologists in the country.

HASIN came to deal with the real problems that have accumulated in the field of private Nephrology but also in the broader health sector in which we are called to operate responsibly, and as these emerged in the questionnaires we addressed to them over the last two years but also as they will be highlighted from now on during regular communication and open channels of communication with our members. Problems such as our often unilateral and meaningless employment contracts, the arbitrariness of employers, the overtaxation of our incomes, the devastating insurance contributions, delays or defaults in payments by employers or the state, the anachronistic, unclear and often chaotic legislative framework, the inadequacy and opacity of state services (Ministry, Health Directorates, National Organization For Health Care Services, etc.), the inadequacies in the operation of several private Units, the bias of legislative regulations in favor of state colleagues in the announcements of the National Health System, the double standards that often apply to private and public health, the need for accounting and legal support for members, and many more.
